Photobooth Pictures

Some of the photos that were taken by our in-house photobooth last Christmas Party. Thank you Jezzabur for facilitating and exploring on the photobooth software. More pictures here.

Better With The Lights Off

Celebrated S15's Annual Christmas Party at Burgundy Westbay Tower, Vito Cruz with the theme inspired by New Boyz's Better With the Lights Off music video. A blacklight party!

Everyone helped and contributed in making the event possible and of course, successful! Because most of our blockmates are graduating on February, we planned to make the party bongga-er. Haha. (If there's such word)

Food + Venue + Mobile Bar + Photobooth + Choco Fountain + Lights + Perfect Sound + GOOD COMPANY = HAPPY PARTY.

Win together with Anton and Ida assembled the lights an hour before the event. They used two blacklights and 2 strobe lights to cover the entire area.

Ches, Koke, and Bianx were assigned to facilitate the registration.

One Glow Stick for each plus laser lights for the first twenty people!

Jezza was the person assigned to explore on the Photobooth software and she was successful on the task given to her. The layout and the set up was done well.

We covered the entire venue with newspapers to really achieve the black light effect!

Highlighters were on hand so that everyone could play around with them!

We also asked Booze Bumps to cater to the drinks of the event. Thank you Jezza for this! We got them at a very affordable price! Super duper over flowing drinks during the night. We didn't even finish everything.

Thank you Spiced Strawberry and Shirley Temple! These were mocktails. I enjoyed the mobile bar mostly because of these non-alcoholic drinks!

I didn't expect to be that "glowing in the dark", swear!!

Super cute highlighter effect on Connie's nails, diba?

Thank you DJ Era and Connie for the perfect music! Like a boss!

Super lovely girls!

That's actually Nanny!! With Maica and Vianne! Nan painted his entire body with highlighters. Hahaha.

Superduper happy party indeed. Thank you Nicole for also coming. We were almost complete! Til next time! Super thank you to everyone!

Yana

Happy Kid Today

Ever felt that feeling of bliss? That's as if  for a moment, everything seemed fine when actually it wasn't? Yiz! Today was kind of like that. I've been super blessed this day. I'm just gonna tell the other side of what happened today because I would like to believe that I got more reasons to be thankful for today than reasons to be sad, paranoid, and restless. So here we go! It all started when I woke up happily. And hours after, someone from Misys called me, at around 930 in the morning. The lady asked if I were available to take an exam and an interview on the 27th. Ofcourse I immediately said Yes! (As most of you have known, I've been really hoping to receive a call from the companies for my OJT for almost a week now), And I was very thankful for that sweet first call I got!! Not an hour after, someone called again, and guess what! The second lady was from Pilipinas Shell! She also asked me if I were available on the 27th, and I said yes learning that she needed me at around 2 pm. I really screamed "Yes!!!" the moment she had terminated the call. I was feeling so so very very blessed!!(Yes, as in redundant to express my state of bliss)

Hours after, I got to buy a Monopoly Deal Card Game!!! Yey! I've been wanting to buy this for so long and today I already got the chance to do soooo!! Yipeee! Can't wait to try!

In just a short while, I got to taste my favorite buffalo wings from Don Hen again! Super duper happy feeling for the third time because I've eaten my favorite again after months! *Banana Dance* I really felt full and gluttonous after. Hehe.  Just moments after that, I received a book entitled  "Xtreme Faith" and I was really happy because I've been looking for something to read over the holidays. Perfect timing lang! Hihi.

I also felt super happy today because I was able to buy the presents for my cousin and uncle in less than 30 minutes! Thank God for Pill's Sale and also the store which I forgot to take note of the name. Hihi. It was very unlikely because it would usually eat up my entire day just to look for presents. Hehe.

Just a little while after that, I got to drink Happy Lemon's Cocoa Rocksalt and Cheese again! Yipee yipee! Haven't got a drink since September, I guess. So I was feeling jiggy jiggy.

Arrived home safely after that, and I was able to finish the laundry (which I left earlier) before 7. Andrei was doing errands and I was thankful she was able to finish them before eight. I taught her how to play Monopoly Deal and Thank God she's a fast learner! We played 3 games. I won the first two, and guess what? She won the last round! Happy Happy!

Papa got us Subway Sandwich but he ended up eating my part. It was okay because I am still full. Papa and mom got to video chat after.

Now Andrei is reading the book that I got earlier. She borrowed it while I decided to document the things that happened to me today. Hihihi.

Thanks to the people who made me happy today! And thank you Lord lang for everyday!

Super duper happy and thankful kid

Post note: The photos were grabbed from the internet. Thank you!

200th day!

A random Korean guy approached us while we were staying at Holly's, handing us a sketch pad while asking if we could write something on. He politely told us something like, "Hello, I am doing this for my girlfriend Kim, it's our 200th day, and I wanna surprise her. So if you could write something, please?". We immediately agreed of course! That guy was such a sweetheart. He asked two hundred people to write two hundred messages for their 200th day. So sweet of him, right? To think that he's even asking random people- Definitely an A+ for the effort!

He was actually from FEU and he came all the way to Holly's just to gather fan signs dedications for her girl. Kim (her girlfriend) was from UST.

I wrote something like "Hi Kim! Happy 200th day to you and Lee. Stay strong and Happy!! Lovelots, Yana from Holly's." Unfortunately, I wasn't able to take a picture of it. Hehe.

This was what Nanny wrote!
All smiles while Rachelle was writing her dedication for the couple!
Such an artistic lady, diba?

Tanan! Here's Lee, wearing his cute Chinky-eyed smile!

I wish them all the best!

So kilig,

Sudden Announcement!

I just read the thesis coordinator's mail. She sent this mail just twenty minutes ago, announcing that our defense's gonna be conducted tomorrow. I'm like, "asdfgjkl!! What tomorrow na agad? Wala man lang pasabi?" Hahaha. My head and my stomach are really on a roller coaster ride right now. I don't know exactly what I'm feeling. I feel like throwing up and poopin' and whatsoever, all at the same. Hahaha. We are not ready.  How are we supposed to be ready?

So tomorrow's gonna be the boiling point. We'll know if we are eligible to apply for OJT or not, next term. Plus! Tomorrow we'll know if we would have to extend a term again, or not. Hope not!

God bless us! Yiii, *shivers*

After almost three!

Remember when I told you I still have three pending lippies which I ordered last September? No? Here. Tadaa! It's here na. They arrived yesterday, after almost three months. Well, close to three. I've been waiting for them for so long already that I thought of going late to class just so I can get these lippies from my friend who was in a nearby Cafe during my Calculus class. Hee.

So, I ordered for Ulysses, Femme and Electra. I didn't expect Ulysses to be this dark. I thought it was on the orange-y side but obviously, it wasn't. It was brownish red. I am not fond of this color but when I tried it on it was tolerable naman pala. The thing is, it's better worn during formal occasions- most likely during the evening. It'll make you look classy but it would also make you look maturer at the same time. For femme, it's perfect for everyday use. It's kind of orangey and pinkish. The color isn't too overpowering so it won't seek too much attention on you. Electra is the bomb. It's super red, as in bloody red. It's shade of red isn't on the pink side but on the maroon eh. It's by far, my favorite red lipstick. Heee.

Overall, I am content with my orders naman. Just when I thought I have a lot of pink lipsticks, I then realized that I don't pala. They're more on the maroon-red shade, but I'm fine with that. I won't be spending too much on cosmetics anymore because I think I have already shelled out too much. Time to saaaaave!!

xx.

Zen Tea!

Zentea while thesisin' here at @maicajorge's condo at Kassel

Zentea is where i learned about Milk Tea! It was in my frosh year when I was first introduced to Milk Teas, through Tea Blends, which later on was renamed "ZenTea"

An extra larged Nai Cha (Reg Milk Tea), originally retailed at PhP 50 before. It's now priced at PhP 60 pesos and PhP 70 pesos for flavored milk tea.

I actually thought about franchasing Zen Tea/ Tea Blends long before this Milk Tea Craze all over the Metro. Thought I should share that.

Hee. Til here.

Nakakatorete

One of those sabaw moments of mine. Video of me singing my all time karaoke favorite, Torete.
Sorry for that wasted voice, I'm not a singer! I've always been known to sing out of tune. Heehee. Notice, I really do not know how to pronounce the letter "R". I'm bulol.

I also have a cover of "Magbalik" here in my phone but it's too much na for your ears. Hahaha. Idol ko si Anne Curtis, I'm sorry.

Please don't hate me after watching this. After all, this is my personal blog. I can post whatever I want. :P

Buon Giorno

Moonleaf

Hopped in at Moon Leaf Tea House Maginhawa Street, Teacher's Village to try their Milk Tea! I've been hearing quite a number of good comments regarding their drinks so I insisted trying.

I ordered Wintermelon Milk Tea and Anj ordered Caramel Milk Tea. 'Twas the first time Anj liked what he had ordered because their Milk tea didn't taste like grass daw! Haha! Their prices range from 65 for the regular Milk Tea to 75 pesos for the Tiramisu Milktea, Caramel Milk Tea, Wintermelon Milk tea and all the other varieties. An additional 10 pesos is needed for the sinkers.

They also have cookies and cakes to go with your cup of tea! Surprisingly, they also have french macaroons which they only sell for PhP 30 pesos, each.

As for the ambiance, the ambiance was nice. A very cooling, lime green and white hues consisted their interiors. At par, big for a tea shop. They have air conditioned place for non-smokers and al fresco for people who would want to stay outdoors.

They also have something like a "freedom cork board" for people who would want to promote or just express anything to the other patrons of the store.

Overall, the experience was good. I would rate the store an 8.5. By the way, they also have free wifi so the place is very suitable for those who would want to review or just chill. The place is very near to Claret and Holy Family school.

Moonleaf has also several branches all over the Metro so might as well check the nearest branch from you!

PS: Sorry I haven't taken pictures of the place because I don't have a camera with me. These were just shots from my phone. Boohoo.

My Good Morning look! I just had my hair cut yesterday at Menage salon in Gateway. I've gone from med boobie length hair to this but I still find my hair very long. I should have asked Jhong to cut it a little shorter, like shoulder-length but nevertheless, Jhong, the hairstylist styles hair really good.

Planning to dye my hair soon. Let's see!

Thank You October, Hello November!

October had been one of the toughest months I have ever encountered. It had made me realize so many things and made me revisit my values and principles. Nevertheless, I am still thankful for October for a lot of reasons.

This October...
  • I got scared, anxious, sad, and I cried.
  • I lost focus, month-long.
  • I was restless.
  • I made mistakes.
  • I was really lost.
But also, This October....
  • I realized how God truly loves me.
    • How He really wanted me to be closer with Him
    • How He cares for me.
  • I knew how several people also truly cares for me
That's why This October...
  • I promised to love God first, and myself next. Heee
    • to listen to Him, always.
    • to dedicate myself more with the Lord
    • to know Lord better than ever
    • to just be a better follower of Him.
    • to let other people know Him too!
This October had been one of the toughest but I would take those though times as lessons to ponder on. It's never too late for a new beginning.

I am sincerely praying for a better November for all of us! Good vibes all the way.

With hopes high,
Yana

Floral Wedges

I got this pair of floral wedges when I was strolling around Robinson's Manila earlier. I was from Divisoria before that and I was in slippers that's why I was afraid that I won't be allowed to enter school/ and prov. Because I didn't want to take chances I thought of buying something from the nearest mall, which is Robinson's. I was sure I didn't like to buy flats because I already have lots of them. I also thought that if I were to spend 400 bucks for flats, it would be better to just add a little and buy a pair of wedge that could go on from casual to almost formal occasions. I spotted this floral wedges on the rack of Privileged (one of the concessionaires of Robinson's Department Store) . I found it super cute so I ended up buying it. I bought it for less than 800 bucks. After buying it, I felt a little regretful because I am not really used to spending impulsively.

When I got home, I found out that it was similar to Jeffrey Campbell's Swansongs Floral Wedges and Forever 21's too. I also discovered that the replica, retails at around PhP 1200, exclusive of shipping fee here in Manila. Because that, my regretful thought kind of vanished, and was replaced by the thought that I still had a good deal.

I promised myself not to spend anymore, after this. I would be saving up already.

Yana

Walk By Faith And Not By Sight

Turn your worries into worship.
CCF Sunday Service. :">

Love you Papa J, forever.

Saturdate with Family

After doing the chores. Me and papa fetched Andrei in school. We went to Greenhills to buy clothes because my sister's a baby no more. She was growing so drastically that she needed a wardrobe replenishment. I also liked what she picked so ended up sharing the clothes that she (i mean papa) bought.

We didn't really know where to dine because we were still full. Me and Andrei were initially okay with Mcdo coz we weren't really craving for so much food but my pop didn't want to eat there. He quit eating fastfood since a year ago. Because I am always craving for buffalo wings I requested to eat at Don Henrico's which has also been also my favorite restaurant aside from Han Pao. Trivia: I celebrated my 7th birthday there too. :-)

Ofcourse we ordered their famous buffalo wings. I wasn't able to eat a lot because it was freezing cold in my spot. I literally had chills. We got their seven-piece buffalo wings. Don Henricos is famous for having really biiigg pieces of chicken wings.

Because my father was on his health conscious mode. We ordered their Seafood pasta. Their seafood pasta contained shrimps, squid, and anchovies drizzled in olive oil and tossed in butter. I found it a bit salty. Heee

Off topic rant: I actually do not know if its very relevant to post this picture of ours but I'll post it anyway. Heee. I didn't have anything on my face because I had allergies the night before. After eating, I also had allergy attacks. My entire body got itchy. (I am allergic to chicken, I just discovered it a couple of months ago.) Hehe.

Well anyway, Over all, my experience was still very mouth watering. Don Henricos will forever be my favorite. I would give the restaurant an 8/10.

I would also like to commend the highly satisfactory performance of their staff. They were very attentive to our needs, and requests. The only thing I didn't like was when we had our buffalo wings to-go. They only gave us one pack of sauce which wasn't enough for 5 pieces of wings. We resorted to making a ranch of our own at home. Nevertheless, it was a fine experience dining at Don Henricos. I would still recommend this to my friends.

Til my next post!

Lady Gaga: My Version

As I was browsing over Youtube, I remembered my friends uploaded a video of mine doing Lady Gaga's bad romance. I couldn't remember why I actually did it. It was one of those days when I get my daily dose of sumpong, I guess. Hee. These videos were actually during my early sophomore year! Yayks!! What a shame! (But I'll share it anyway) HIHI

Drama 101

Ginusto ko to, bakit ko sasayangin to?

My Never-Ending Quest For Shoe Bargains

Hello! I'm back blogging before I am off to do my thesis in a few minutes.

Like any other girls, I have the deepest love for shoes, bags and clothes. - The only difference is, I love shoes and clothes better than bags. Heee. I've been in the quest for hunting cheap finds for as all of you know, I am kuripot. Hihi. I  usually do not buy stuff when they are not on sale. In any event that I decided to buy an item in its regular price, it's either the item is an investment (which means I have already thought about buying it gazillions of time), or I make tawad (a practice only in the Philippines, where people haggle the lowest offer they could get. Most rampant in bazaars, and tiangges) .

Today, I'm going to blog about the shoe bargains that I got into for the past two months. So let's get started.

This was the first pair of heels I got from a bargain, about 2-3 months ago. I've already blogged about this months ago as a resort of excitement. Heee. I got this heels from PRP (People Are People) for PhP 699 pesos. 50% cheaper than its regular price.

The second pair that I got was also from PRP. PRP has an array of women's shoes to choose from. In an event when the store is conducting its annual/end of season sale. It really means SALE. All items are really marked down to its lowest price. This platforms, I got for only 799 pesos. From an original price of PhP 1600 pesos. Good deal, right?

I got this suede black pumps, at a regular price. But ooops!! With tawad. I bargained from PhP 700 pesos to 500 pesos (if I'm not mistaken) in one of those tiangge malls in Manila. It bought it because I really needed a pair of black shoes for thesis defenses/presentations.

The latest bargain that I got into was at Tinsley's Flash Sale (Visit Them Here) I got two pairs of women's shoes (a pair of clogs and a pair of wedges) for only PhP 999. They were priced originally at PhP 1550 each. The best bargain, I know! It's not my habit to go online shopping but their deals made me think of revisiting my habits. Kay (the owner of Tinsley) was also so kind, that she asked her brother (who was studying in CSB) to meet with me so I could get the items I have purchased. I have saved, 100 pesos for the shipping fee! Yehey! Visit them to avail more of their great deals!

So all in all, I have purchased 5 pairs for the last 2-3 months. I am considering them more of an investment than gastos. Hee.

How about you girls, where do you usually get those killer bargains? :)
