Meet my brotha!

Hello! I am Lea Alyana. Meet my older brother, Leo Angelo. He's now 21 years old, turning 22 on the 2nd of September. He stands 5'5.5 tall. He likes crabs. He's a spiderman fanatic. His favorite show is Imbestigador. He never falls asleep without finishing the entire show. His greatest dream is to become an astronaut, seriously. If he becomes an astronaut, he's gonna be the best spaceman of all time. If given a chance, he would pursue Business Management rather than Information Technology. Yesterday, my brother told me that he promised himself that he wants his first out of country trip with his girlfriend. I am really not sure if its true. Currently, he wants an IPhone, but has no plans of buying one. Currently, he's passionate in learning photography. Someday, he wanna have his own gym. In December, he's gonna have his own business.

We have the same facial features. We also share the love for food. We both love Oishi Manju. We both love Jake Cuenca, but he's more obsessed than me. Promise.

We shared our lives together. He witnessed me campaign in the meeting the avance when I was running for a position during highschool. He was present during one of the highlights of my life, Skechers Street Dance Battle Y2. He has been there during my worst birthday. My 16th birthday. He has been there during my Senior prom. He accompanied me to my sister's recognition day, during the first year that mom had gotten out of the country. He was there during my graduation. He's been there during my first operation. He has been there while I was planning for my debut. He was my head organizer during my debut! I was there during his graduation. I was there during his first test in Accenture. I was there during his 16th to 21st birthday. Except for one pala.

Aside from being my brother, he is also my bestfriend - next to our sister Andrei. He listens to me when I have problems. He gives me words of wisdom. He gets mad at me when I am being a brat. He understands me. He forgives me when I say sorry and cry. He takes care of me. He accompanies me home even if he is tired. He still gives his effort to show and express his feelings even if he's not really used to being one.

Currently, he's trying his best effort to become a better brother and a best friend, because he kinda broke my (her sister's) heart not too long ago. He makes sure everything's gonna be fine. He is trying and doing his best. He's making his best to earn back what was lost. I am sure he's trying and doing his best, I can see it. I can feel it. And for that, I am proud. For that, I appreciate him. For that, I love him.

He is not perfect. As a matter of fact, we argue a lot. We argue most of the time. We share many differences- in views, attitudes, and perspectives.  He is not perfect, but for me, he is still the best.

By the way, he's my boyfriend.

Food Review: Mt: Arayat Halo Halo

Halo halo is perhaps undeniably in season now. With the humid temperature and the striking rays of the sun, truly halo-halo has been the favorite thirst quencher and snack of every Filipino.

Yesterday, my sister spotted a halo halo stall in SM Centerpoint. It's called, Mt. Arayat (from the famous volcano in Pampanga). The stall's main product, as I have said was halo-halo. Their product has almost the same ingredients as of Razon's and Kabigtings.

This halo halo chain is proud to say that they do not add sugar to their halo halo. The sweetness comes from its ingredients, Macapuno, Saba, Mashed sweetened Beans(or kamote, I am really uncertain), and Pastillas. Yes, you read it right. Just like Kabigting's, Mt. Arayat has pastillas as one of their ingredients in their halo halo. Also, to add with all those four ingredients are coconut shredding and corn kernels.

The halo halo prices at 65, 75 and 85 for small to large sizes respectively.

As for the taste, the taste is slightly blander than those of Razon's and Kabigting's but basically, they do not vary as much. Thick and creamy, because of the sweetened macapuno. Still, delicious.

Sweetness rate? A two.
Price comment: It's still worth my 75 bucks.

Andrei's Graduation Day

Yesterday (March 26, 2011), was Andrea's graduation day!Because of her graduation, my tita, cousin, and my nieces went in Manila to celebrate with us. On the graduation day itself, we all woke up at around 5:30 to prepare our things. I personally did Andrea's make up. She wanted it with all the shades of blue. I planned to curl her, but she requested to just have her hair ironed and straightened. I ran late because I fixed her pa. I arrived at her school at around 9:15.

The graduation was overly simple. FYI: One of the core values of the school is simplicity. She didn't experience wearing toga (which was for the record, the most anticipated part in any graduation). The graduation lasted for only an hour. The entire ceremony was a bit dry for me. Nevertheless, I am so happy for my sister.

I became her official photographer in the entire ceremony. I was even reprimanded by the marshal because of  my attempt to photograph her while she was receiving her diploma (BTW: Attempt successful)

After the rites, we went to SM Centerpoint first to meet my cousin, my nieces, and Leo (because only three people were allowed to attend the graduation). Upon meeting them, we went straight to HanPao.

Leo and I went to Red Ribbon to buy something for Andrei while the entire family was already there in the Tea House. Tita Kit, Marty and Tito Toto arrived after a few minutes. Ate Trish (my cousin) and Kuya Karl (his boyfriend) arrived soon enough. We all ate our sumptuous lunch in our all time favorite tea house. (I also celebrated my highschool graduation there, FYI)

After having lunch, we went straight to Megamall. We went to Toy Kingdom to tour the kids, and Papa went to his favorite shop, Surplus. He got stuff for us too. After that, we went to the chapel to attend an anticipated mass.

After the anticipated mass, we ate one of Andrei's cakes which was given to her by tita kit. From there, we went straight home. We arrived home at around 8:30 P.M.

That's basically how the celebration went. Yehey!

These are some of the pictures taken from yesterday's event.

Shoo Away.

We'll be having a defense tomorrow regarding our thesis proposal, and I am just so nervous as early as now. Teehee. Alongside of that, are senseless thoughts that are occupying my mind, yet again.

Shoo away na forever, please? I don't like you in my head. Brrrr. :| I don't like you in my head.

#1 Bakit may mga bagay na di natin magawa kahit gustuhin natin? Ang tanong, ginusto nga ba talaga natin?

THANK YOU LORD.

I know there are a lot of things to be thanked for. I may not remember them all, but I will always be grateful for you, Lord.

Thank you. I love you!

And P.S.:
I'm sorry for missing masses this past couple of weeks. :|

Your daughter,
Yana
