another cool way to blog.

I've been using my phone too much, lately. As a result of my laziness plus my fascination (still) on my android phone, I haven't had the time to update my blog regularly.

One boring night, (and yes, i am pertaining to this night) as i was browsing around the market, i've found this cool app that would let me blog whenever i am around a hot spot in the metro - blogger-droid. As much as I wanted to blab about its usability, I still can't because I am still on the process of exploring such app. I shall post more about this soon. Nevertheless, I am so happy to dscover this app.

Late Post: Andrei's Recital

Last May 7, 2011, my sister Andrei performed in her voice recital. She sang "That Should Be Me" by Justin Bieber and "When I Look at You" by Miley Cyrus. Tita Kit (mama's siter) and papa accompanied Andrei in her event.  I was absent because I had to attend the culminating activity of DVBS but nonetheless I know that my sister performed well. She's the best!

Btw, I heard that there was a woman who approached her and said- "Ang galing galing mo, Ipagpatuloy mo!" after the performance. I am a proud sister. Yehey!! I can't find her video performance, boo me.

DVBS: Final Presentation Dance

My students danced "Nothing Is Too Hard For You" as their piece for the culminating activity of their Vacation Bible School.

DVBS Week: Faith

It was a tough yet a fun-filled and happy week for me. Tough because I have duties to attend to and fun because it was very nice being with the kids. It was also pretty challenging because I had to speak in English for almost the entire week for it was the medium of instruction, also, most (if not all) of the kids are really english speakers so I really have to keep up. Ha ha ha. Nevertheless the experience was pricesless, especially when a kid calls you teacher and embraces you. It's just so fulfilling.

This Photo Blog for the things that had happened for the past week.

When the clock strikes at 8. I had to be in my position for the Praise and Worship.

These are the very energetic kids attending the VBS. (During Praise and Worship/ Assembly)

DVBS: The Cast

A few days after Miss Lucy had assigned me to the pre-school class, she told me that I have to be re-assigned to an elementary class- a 7 year old class. I thought it would be better since the training that I had attended is for the elementary class. She assigned class Faith to me.

She assigned several assistant teachers and a marshal for our class. For the ATs, I met Teacher Lace Ong, Teacher Betty and Teacher Jojo. Ella had become our marshal for the class.

Teacher Lace is a 25 year old lady who finished her studies at DLS-CSB. She was a former front desk officer of Shangrila Hotel. She's the sister of one of the known LSDC dancers in school, Gino. She also has been a Sunday School teacher.

Teacher Betty on the other hand is a Sunday school teacher. She has been passionate in teaching the kids for the past how many years already.

Teacher Jojo is also a first timer like me. He is a father of three. He admits that he had not been used in speaking infront of a crowd for his job is totally the opposite of it. He is a dubber. He dubs for Patrick Star in ABS-CBN's SpongeBob Square Pants. He also has a part in dubbing one of the characters in ABS-CBN's Frijolito. Amazing right?

Ella is a 15 year old lady with a lot of potentials. As early as now, she has been passionate in serving the kids. She has been a marshal for DVBS two years ago.

These were the lovely people whom I have worked with for a week. I thank God for giving me such wonderful and helpful co-teachers. They didn't leave me hanging. They knew that it was my first time so they guided me. I will be missing them.

Daily Vacation Bible School: Pre Thoughts

It was my first time to volunteer at CCF for their Vacation Bible School activity for the kids. I have been waiting for this opportunity for the last three years or so, I think. I signed up to be a volunteer of course, and I signed up to be a head teacher, and a dance prompter.

Upon signing up, I didn't know that being a head teacher would mean a lot of responsibility. I really didn't take signing up for the head teacher position seriously for I was just thinking that the position sounded out good. Everything had changed when Miss Lucy called me up at home and interviewed me. She asked me about certain questions that really stoked me and woke me. She made me realize that being a head teacher isn't a joke for the things that I will teach and say to the kids would really have a great impact on them. She asked me the reason for applying for the position. She asked me about my faith, my testimonies with the Lord. It was kind of hard for me to answer those not because my faith is weak. It is because I am not used with talking about these matters with others apart from my relatives in my mother side. For the record, I do not have a D-Group which I could share these thoughts with during devo or something, but nevertheless I answered with Lucy with all my best. She asked me a one last question, and that is if I am sure I can handle the position since I had not been attending to any D-Group and its my first time to volunteer. I don't know but i said an undoubted Yes to her. I know that this is so unusual of me but I just thought that I am doing those for the Lord and I know that He will help me all the way. After the interview, luckily I was initially assigned to be a head teacher for a pre-school class. - Grateful

I was happy because I passed one of the hardest interviews of my life, but then again there were pre-occupying thoughts and questions in me. There were times that I am doubtful of my capability, and during those times I sought comfort to my sister. I had asked her a lot of times if she thinks I can do the responsibilities given to me, and that is to be a teacher and dance prompter at the same time, and her answer was always a steady "Oo naman ate, kaya mo yan!". Apart from her, I was encouraged because I know I am doing this for Him. I thought I could make Him happy by doing this. I thought that I should not fear because I know He's with me in this, all the way.

More thoughts to be continued on the succeeding posts...

I Got A Good Bargain

We (Me + Anj) went to Gateway last night to have dinner. As part of the routine, after eating, we went to every store we like. As overrated as it can be, PRP (People are People) is one of them. I saw this one on sale and I guess its a good bargain.

I got this heels for only 699. It was from 1,400, I guess. I think its a good deal already. Heee. I was torn between black and tan. Although I can use the black one for more occasions (as compared with the tan) I got the tan instead.  I thought blacks are for more formal ones.

Ofcourse, I hugged it to sleep. It was beside me on bed from the moment I lay down to the time I woke up. :">

Answer This.

I've been watching too much Pinoy ChicFlicks lately. Because of that, I've learned about this mind-boggling question. It is as hard as one of the questions thrown by Claudine to Piolo in their movie Milan. (Ofcourse I do not need to mention, everyone knows about that)

Here, try answering this for yourself:

Paano mo malalaman na mahal mo yung tao, or mahalaga lang sya sayo?

Mehehehehe. Corny, but I know it got you stoked too.

Video Review: WongFuProductions'

WongFuProductions I think has been very popular, because of its short film, "Strangers, Again". The video was actually introduced to me by my friend, Abigail. Soon after watching the short film, I've become eager in watching more of the uploader's productions. I find the uploader's posts very realistic. I actually can relate to some parts, clips and uploads of the user. Its capability to connect to its viewers may actually be one of  the reasons for the numerous number of  hits of the uploader. You should also try watching some of the videos. See for yourself. :-)

These are the videos that I like the most.

Video Review: Ashleyslips'

Videos of Youtube uploader, Ashleyslips has been gaining many hits for the past weeks already. I for one has become a fan of her. I find her videos entertaining. I am not sure if she actually has that kind of accent in real life but nevertheless her videos never fail to make me laugh.

She also has been gaining criticisms because of the kind of accent that she has (or she has been doing in her videos), but personally, I do not find it offensive. Like what she just said, those were for entertainment purposes only- no pun intended.

I like her, though I don't know her personally. I like her because she has the courage to do unusual things. She has the guts to go out of the box. I like her for still doing her thing even with the risk of being called stupid and insane. I like her for being her.

These are some of her videos that I really like. I am looking forward to watch more videos of her.
